Correction and Retraction
Nexavium Journal of Cybersecurity and Cyberdefense is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the scholarly record. When errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with best practices and COPE guidelines.
Corrections
If a published article is found to contain minor errors that do not significantly affect the results, interpretations, or conclusions of the work, a Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum) will be issued. Corrections may include, but are not limited to:
- Typographical errors
- Author name or affiliation updates
- Minor data or formatting inaccuracies
The corrected version of the article will be updated, and a formal correction notice will be published and linked to the original article to ensure transparency.
Retraction
A Retraction will be issued in cases where there is clear evidence that the findings of a published article are unreliable or unethical. This may include:
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Plagiarism or significant overlap with previously published work
- Duplicate publication
- Serious methodological errors that invalidate the conclusions
- Unethical research practices
Retracted articles will remain accessible online to preserve the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as “Retracted.” A retraction notice will be published, explaining the reasons for the retraction.
Author-Initiated Corrections or Retractions
Authors are encouraged to promptly notify the editorial office if they discover significant errors in their published work. The journal will evaluate such requests and determine the appropriate course of action.
Editorial Responsibility
The Editors-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board when necessary, will make the final decision regarding corrections or retractions. All actions will be carried out transparently and in line with international publishing ethics standards.
