Withdrawal of Manuscript

Nexavium Journal of Cybersecurity and Cyberdefense invests significant editorial and academic resources in the processing, peer review, and production of every submitted manuscript. Authors are expected to act with high ethical standards and professional responsibility throughout the entire submission and review process.

Withdrawal during Review

Authors may request to withdraw their manuscript at any stage before a final editorial decision is made. However, the journal strongly discourages withdrawal once the peer-review process has commenced, as it represents a significant loss of time and professional effort by the editors and voluntary reviewers.

All requests for withdrawal must be submitted in writing by the corresponding author to the editorial office, providing clear and valid reasons. The request must be signed by all co-authors.

Withdrawal Fee

Please be advised that if a manuscript is withdrawn after the peer-review process has started or after the manuscript has been accepted, a Withdrawal Fee of USD 350 will be charged to the authors.

This fee is intended to compensate for the extensive editorial time, administrative costs, and the efforts of the reviewers involved in the evaluation of the paper. A withdrawal is only considered official once the authors have paid the withdrawal fee and received a formal confirmation from the editorial office.

Unauthorized Withdrawal and Ethical Misconduct

Submitting the same manuscript to another journal before receiving a formal withdrawal confirmation from Nexavium is considered duplicate submission, which is a serious breach of publication ethics.

Withdrawal after Acceptance

Withdrawal of a manuscript after it has been accepted for publication is highly discouraged, as the manuscript has already entered the production and typesetting phase. In addition to the USD 350 withdrawal fee, the journal reserves the right to prohibit the authors from submitting to the journal for a specified period (2 years) if the withdrawal is deemed without justifiable academic or ethical cause.

Retraction (Post-Publication)

Once a manuscript has been published online, it cannot be withdrawn. In cases of proven scientific misconduct, pervasive plagiarism, or major data fabrication, the article will be subject to Retraction in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
